In May 1974. Ulster Loyalists assisted by British intellegence bombed Dublin and Monaghan ... 33 citizens lost their lives and over 300 seriously injured in the greatest act of mass murder this Republic has ever witnessed.
  ( it must be said that high ranking officials in the Irish Government and Garda Siochcana [Irish Police Force] were culpible in assisting the escape from justice the perpetrators of this attrocity )
 For whatever reason our city councillors approved a permit for a "LOVE ULSTER" march by UVF/UDA/RHC to pass the sceene of the 74 attrocitys
Provisional Sinn Fein are involved in a peace process and so issued an order for all supporters not to attend the planned counter demonstrations.
Republican IRA had other ideas though and overnight "planted" cannisters of gasoline, bottles and fuses at strategic locations throught the City centre
